This is a test of what you are made of on the deepest core level and will require surrender as well as focus. This energy challenges you to evolve and will make you want to push through all obstacles but you must be careful not to be so aggressive that you are stepping on anyone to get where you’re going. This is a potent energy that can facilitate major transformation in your life if you know who you are, what you want and what you are willing to sacrifice to get there - that includes parts of your Self that need to shift to be more effective. This energy brings power struggles, either within or without, so be mindful because this energy is affecting everyone at this time. This is the time to tie up any loose ends if you are close to beginning anew. If you do not finish what you already have in the works, it may get in the way of things you want to do in the future.

This energy is a mixed blessing so watch any extreme swings one way or another. Mars is all about energy, passion and movement and Saturn is all about stability, structure and foundation. When they are opposite each other, there can be a beautiful blend of energy and passion behind solid, productive work that yields long-term benefits. However, if you swing to petulant Mars, “I want my way!” ~ Saturn’s response is, “It will be done the RIGHT way or not at all!” This energy brings lessons either way, usually around anger issues or long-standing upsets. You may feel “held back” although nothing could be further from the truth. The reality is you have to do certain ‘first things first’ and if/when you do things in “order”, success usually follows. If/when you rush and do things without thinking or planning, then mistakes inevitably follow and you have to do things over again. I have to preface this with two things: (1) is when Mercury is involved, it is a relatively fast-moving energy. (2) is when Mars is involved, being the lower version of power (Pluto being the Higher version), reminds us that with power, also comes responsibility. Now, that all said, the positive expression of this energy is that you can control your mind and direct it with passion, getting tangible results. This heightens your intellectual ability and mental capacity (for better or worse). You will be able to clearly articulate your thoughts and you should have quick, effective responses. If you maintain your integrity, this is an excellent time to ‘fuel’ major creative expression. If this energy manifests is negative side, it can make you petty and combative, arguing over nonsense and wasting precious time and energy in ego control-dramas. And if it is not coming FROM you, it is just as possible to be coming AT you (from others). This is the best time to put your energy (Mars) behind your thoughts, ideas and words (Mercury). The power of this pairing is that they are occupying the same space, essentially energizing each other.

Venus (love) ~conjunct~ Uranus (unexpected):
Expect the unexpected - that's all I can say! This energy makes you resistant to routine and drawn to new and exciting experiences - usually involving (in this case) love and relationships. Beware - a relationship may begin or end suddenly. If it begins, give it some time to discern its stability. One thing is for sure, it won't be "the usual" - it will be with an unusual person or at the very least, unusual circumstances. Whatever you do, enjoy it and pay attention to any innovative ideas that come up around this time - they could be useful down the line.

This energy makes you want to get things done, by any means necessary and you may tend to come on a little strong - but it's all good. The work you want to do, is work that needs to be done and in doing it and facing things head-on, you will gain insights about yourself you can apply in the future. This intense and powerful energy is transformative in nature and will provoke you to think deeply about your life; what you need, desire and deserve. You may find that some aspects of your life need to be reformed or released - go for it - this energy makes reform and release easier than usual. It's a good time to make an impression or an impact on others, but be sure to keep it on the Highest level possible. Any actions or statements used to manipulate others for selfish gain WILL backfire on you in a big way. This is a positive, uplifting, transformative energy - use it as such to clear the debris and create the life you were born to live.

There is a push-pull between your true values and your current reality. You may find yourself questioning what is or is no longer important to you. Or you may find yourself facing some hard and unavoidable truths. Do not feel sorry for yourself and do not take it out on others. It is time to take responsibility for making new choices here and now today, looking back will only trip you up. Challenges may center around commitments you’ve made out of obligation and a sense of duty, rather than because you actually wanted to contribute. You can use this energy to align your reality with the values in your heart. Do not allow the anxiety associated with change to keep you from making some important decisions at this time. You are finally ready for the deeper truth, and you will be transformed by what you learn. If you must communicate with others, plan on that being deep as well. Nothing superficial today. The only warning with this energy is not to become obsessive about one particular idea - and certainly don't try to force your particular opinion on others.
