POWER Sun joins Venus Retrograde in Aries and ups the ante for re-inventing your Self on a whole new level. A level to the tune of 8 years (minimum). There may be a sense of "pushing on the pull door" as you have definitely entered new territory but you're not necessarily free to move about just yet. Venus says, "slow down, *FEEL* your way in this truly *NEW REALM*" Aries energy makes you want to initiate and move, get things started and embraces the 'new' but you don't want to make foolish mistakes that cause more work in the end. Haste makes waste! And none of us can afford to 'waste' ANYTHING - time, energy, resources, efforts - every step means something and moves you forward on your path. The Sun is only in Aries for 30 days, Venus is extending her stay in Aries for 5+ months, which she only does every 8 years, which indicates how deeply important it is to move through this energy (and time frame) with some reverence and consciousness. Don't rush, lest you anchor a pattern you'll be stuck with for the NEXT 8 years.
The other powerful combo will fuel the fire, literally, for better or worse. Mars, rules passion and the urge to *DO*, joins Uranus, planet of freedom and liberation, in Pisces. Again, there is this feeling of two magnets pushing away from each other, then flipping and immediately joining together. Mars and Uranus are action-oriented, but Pisces shifts the *MODE* of action and rules the lesson of 'let go and let God'. So this suggests that action must be taken, yes, but with the consideration of ALL IS ONE. What is the most radically enlivening possibility that expresses the ultimate potential of the whole picture? How can you facilitate movement but trusting your intuition and sensing the world around you? What is 'freedom' to you? How can you be *FREE* in this very moment? Liberate your Self by releasing the delusions and embracing a renewed faith in your own ability to discern what your Being truly needs to thrive and prosper in this world today ... and then LIVE IT!

BALANCE & COMPROMISE Mars in Pisces suggests you need to "do" (Mars) your faith/spirituality (Pisces) ... opposite Saturn Retrograde in Virgo, which means you have an opportunity to work in your spiritual practice in ways that yield tangible results. This is the half-way mark of a 2-year cycle initiated when Mars was in Virgo (July 2008). Oppositions give you the opportunity to integrate all that you have learned and acquired along the way so you are stronger going forward and can yield tangible results of your labor and efforts during the entire two year cycle. How's it going? Below are the questions we considered upon initiating this cycle. Mars is about DESIRE & ACTION, while Saturn is about STRUCTURE & FOUNDATION, in Virgo suggests that what you want (Mars) probably requires a HEALING of sorts, so that you can stabilize (Saturn) and build a life that supports who you are here and now today. Virgo also rules our 'systems' and the little details of life, which suggests that what you may consider to be minor details are the very details that could make or break your ability to create a reality (Saturn) that reflects the truth of who you are and what you truly want in life. Consider these questions again and see how far you have come. Then use the remaining time Saturn is Retrograde (till May 16, 2009) to review and reflect, strategize and plan your next move toward creating a reality that matches the vibration you would like to express. OPTIONS & ADVANTAGES Aries and Aquarius ~ Independence and Freedom ~ Fire and Air ~ Movement and Ideas/Thoughts/Concepts ~ and ultimately the lesson of birthing something new about your identity and gaining objectivity about the larger vision. The ultimate lesson between these two signs coming together is being independent, self-sustained and useful to the community. Now take in to consideration the bodies expressing these lessons and ideas. Sun (core self) and Mercury (your voice and way of thinking) are getting together with the potent Jupiter / Neptune combo which is gaining power as they get closer and closer together (exact May 27th), expanding your consciousness in a multitude of ways. The angle of these suggest a conscious effort must be made for maximum benefits, but I suspect you will feel it either way. This is the perfect time to reflect on who you are and what your unique contribution is going to be to the community going forward. Jupiter rules your Truth and the story that you tell by your very existence and has a 12 year cycle. Neptune rules your dreams and vision, but also your delusions of grandeur so it would be useful to use this relatively easy angle set intentions about what you can release that may be blocking you from true freedom, the freedom that comes when you are centered in the truth of who you are and serving a community that also serves you on a deeper level. This energy is growth, development and movement to the next level whether you go willingly or resist, Pluto is bringing your Being in to new territory over the course of the next 16 years. If you resist this particular transformation, it will be slow and painful. However, if you are READY to change, within and without, be more responsible for your own happiness and connect with more heart-centered work, then this energy is going to assist you in ways you can hardly imagine. This aspect is actually going to repeat during Spring and Fall Equinox every year for the next 16 years, which suggests this is truly an EVOLUTION. It is happening up in the sky, deeply affecting the collective, but of course, it will also activate certain areas of your Being and your personal chart as well. What you should keep in mind is CONSCIOUS CO-CREATION. This is the Sun (your core, essential Self) making contact with Pluto the Lord of Transformation, the Purifier, distilling the essence of who you are and assisting you with expressing a richer, deeper aspect of your Being now and from now on. You will experience this activation during Spring and Fall for the next several years, however, this year is even more potent with Venus added to the mix doing her once in 8 year thing, which means you will also be integrating two major Venus cycles by the end of this major Pluto cycle. No doubt, you will be a new person, living a new life by the end of this particular cycle. Saving the best for last, we have some tremendous Earth energy to anchor all this change in the air. Mercury is the star here, which suggests that it is your ideas, thoughts and concepts which will make or break you during this major transformation. As Mercury enters Taurus, shifting your thoughts to aligning your values and priorities with real life, it is going to tag Saturn and Pluto. Saturn rules your definition of reality, so remember that all things begin with a thought. This energy also has to be consciously applied and worked with to bring about the possible benefits. Pluto's involvement also suggests more change where your historical thinking is concerned. I remind you here that just because something used to be true and perhaps is no longer true, does not invalidate it completely, it only indicates your personal growth and development, which is a blessing! Embrace this energy, shift your thinking and apply your new ideas in tangible ways. Aries time is always a time of rebirth and initiation which can bring on anxiety as well as excitement. Pace your Self, take a moment before each twist and turn (as you are able) and process the decisions you are being asked to make. This is not only the beginning of the astrological year, but the beginning of much larger, long-term cycles that bring energy you will be learning about and expressing for some time to come. Release as much of the past and excess physical or emotional baggage as possible, you truly won't need any of it in the new realms you are entering at this time (and in the near future). In fact, there is precious little of your past that will be useful in these new realms. What you need the most is a solid sense of Self, who you are, what you want and what is most important to you in any given moment. The simpler you can make things at this juncture, the better off you will be when presented with the miracles of this new territory. You need a faith in all good things and a trust in your own ability to navigate the unknown with integrity and courage. It is a new day and you are standing at the door of a whole new world.
